VAMPIRES
BASICS
KINDRED
The Vampire Government™, your friendly neighborhood Camarilla, writes to inform you that using the word 'vampire' is actually quite a faux-pas. They prefer the term 'kindred,' a term meant to obfuscate the existence of undead blood-suckers. After all, the first rule of vampire club is no one talks about vampire club.
Sorry, kindred club.
In the World of Darkness, vampires/kindred can agree on one rule and one rule only: keep our existence secret.
WEAKNESSES TO THE SUN, FIRE, DECAPITATION, A WELL PLACED STAKE, AND TOTAL DESTRUCTION OF THE HEART betray their ill-gained immortality. Safety through obscurity is the preferred method to live miserably for as many centuries as one can.
Another rule makes itself undeniable - feed. Kindred
MUST DRINK BLOOD TO SUSTAIN THEIR LIFELESS BODIES. Luckily, typical vampire feeding is
PLEASANT FOR THE VICTIM, and
most don't drink enough to kill.
THE BEAST
FRENZIES
Even the most well-adjusted vampire can fall victim to their
BEAST. There is no agreed upon way to understand the impulses of the blood, but all kindred are aware of its influence. Go without feeding, and the beast drinks and kills until it is fulfilled. Face destruction, and the beast tears through anything and any
one to preserve its host. Suffer an embarrassment or lose something that is yours to another, and the beast rages until its anger is sated.
Only the most fanatical vampires lean in to this, the
DAMNING LOSS OF SELF too severe a consequence for unpredictable and wild power.
BANES
Most vampires do not shudder when they witness a cross, nor worry about how to cross a flowing river. Garlic is simply produce, and silver is a shiny trinket. What kindred do suffer are the vices of their predecessors - a bane varies from bloodline to bloodline, but there does not exist a vampire without at least one.
Charlie is
LIMITED TO EATING ONLY PEOPLE WITH SHORT TEMPERS and may be prone to fits of
DEMANDING OBEDIENCE WITHOUT HIS OWN SUPERNATURAL INFLUENCE.
THE BLOOD
ADDICTION
All kindred blood, no matter the clan*, is
ADDICTIVE TO THOSE WHO CONSUME IT. The consequence of imbibing a vampire's blood
OVER THREE SEPARATE NIGHTS is to become 'bound' to that vampire. This condition renders the thrall obedient and eager to please their regnant, and this desire only
FADES AFTER ONE YEAR OF ABSTAINING FROM THAT VAMPIRE'S BLOOD. A thrall can
REBEL AGAINST THEIR BOND, but this is typically a difficult contest to win, and thus is usually reserved for appropriately dramatic moments.
Or you can be a little shit and always try to resist - don't let me tell you what to do, I'm not your regnant.

CLANS
Like any good TTRPG, your terrible night-creature is sorted into one of several 'categories.' Clan is a succinct way to refer to the differing bloodlines that tie back to Big Daddy Caine - the original vampire. Whether or not a kindred believes in the legend of their progenerater, all acknowledge that different blood brings different powers, different curses.
Charlie is a
VENTRUE, and the only reason I bolded that is because it's what a Ventrue would do. They're known for thinking themselves kings, leaders, and incredibly burdened by herding the cats around them. That is the most charitable description of them you'll see, trust me. They are more often accused of being tyrannical, prideful, and controlling.
ABILITIES
DOMINATE
The Dominate user imposes their will on others via eye contact and verbal instruction. This ability can affect memories and/or physical actions, depending on the user's preference and skill. Novices may wipe a few seconds from someone's memory or demand a simple action - 'kneel.' Masters may overwrite a lifetime of experiences with falsities or leave latent and dangerous commands to be carried out at just the right moment.
Charlie uses Dominate at a Master level, but only to demand and prohibit. He does not interact with memories at all. To view his powers permissions, click

FORTITUDE
Users of Fortitude gain supernatural resilience - both mental and physical. Those with a weak grasp of the ability may be able to grant themselves a sense of calm or stand back up after taking a bone shattering blow. Masters of this discipline are unreachable by supernatural intrusion into their minds and can become indestructible. So they say, at least.
This ability can be shared with anyone for a night, so long as the recipient drinks a mote of the vampire's blood. What harm is there in that?
Charlie's aptitude for Fortitude is mostly physical. He is far from impossible to incapacitate, but he will get back up in a fight way more times than you want him to.
POTENCE
Potence enhances the raw power of a vampire's blood. As simple as sheer strength itself, this ability is straight-forward. The more aptitude a vampire possesses for Potence, the harder they can hit. This ability also strengthens less violent tasks like jumping, gripping, and creating shockwaves - but those using this power seeking to avoid destruction usually find it anyway.
Find the right vampire, and they may even share this ability with you for a night. Drink a little blood, and those guys won't know what hit 'em.
Charlie's blood is not pre-disposed to this ability, but he cultivates it through dining on the temperamental. He's capable of more damage than he seems, but he usually uses this power to turn feeding from sensual to quick and deadly.
